Cat

The domestic shadowcat is pretty far removed from its wild counterpart, seperated by thousands if not a million years. Unlike its wild counterpart, the domestic shadowcat does not have a gular pouch nor specialized alopecia. The common ancestor between these two did not have these traits either as they were evolved seperately by their wild cousins. "Cat" is the shorthand for the companion shadowcat.
