Species Rules and Guidelines

These rules were last updated on January 31st, 2024!
All rules below are subject to change as needed.

Every Faunid is unique in their own way! Compared to feral deer, Faunids do NOT display sexual dimorphism.
Both males and females can display or lack antlers!
Their relation to the deer we know is very distant. Catagorizing them by deer species is only for adopt purposes and character design.

General Rules

You cannot make your own official Faunid without permission.

This is a closed species. Fauns are always deer with feathers; but not all deer with feathers are fauns.
However, you CAN draw a non-official faunid in order to conceptualize future customs. But do not talk about them as if they already exist.

You can sell faunids for their purchased price and any additional art cost.

PM staff to approve an exchange between users and to update the archive.
You may also trade and gift Faunids, but PM staff for approval first.

You are not able to change the physical design of your Faunid.

If a body part and/or body area is not visible in the original ref, you may decide a complimenting design for that area.

You can add accessories/clothing!

Once an Auction has reached the established end date, the auction will end 24 hours after the last bid.

This may occur multiple times but may be manually stopped with an autobuy or raffle.

You may only own up to TWENTY-SIX (26) breedable fauns and EIGHT (8) non-breedable fauns at any given time.

Breedable fauns refers to ANY faun that is/will be/can be used during the fawning event INCLUDING FAWNS.

Non-Breedable fauns refers to event fauns such as corrupteds, archaeics, primordials, etc.

Extensive toxicity can land you at an automatic three strikes.

We are not here to hold your hand. If you interact maliciously or continually cause drama, it can easily cause you to be banned.

Pulling out of a bid results in a strike against your account.

Upon pulling out of a bid you will receive a strike on your account and be unable to bid on the next 3 adopts and the inability to buy gachafauns from official sources.

Pulling out of a bid a second time results in a second strike against your account and a PERMANENT ban on buying adopts and non-event faunids from official sources.

Check the Lore of the species located on the respective pages on this website.

I accidentally bought a "Forgotten"! Can they be a Faunid still?

Unfortunately, ex-faunids can never be faunids again.
You can always commission an Official Artist for a custom based on your Forgotten.
This custom can NOT be a duplicate and must have significant change though.

Do I need to be in discord to bid/interact?

Nope! While it makes things trickier, you can DM Deertush to input forms for events and bids for events.

Can I draw my bipedal faun as a quad? Can I draw my quad faun as an anthro?

Yes! Just be aware that canonically your faun has not changed form. We encourage creativity!

Can I be a guest artist?

Deertush will personally approach artists he feels properly fits the faunids ideal. Keep on practicing those deer!

Can I change the species of my faunid?

Unless given an specific item, a faunid can not change species. If your faunid is not given a subspecies, feel free to assign one.
